Terms of Service

DriveOneDirect markets and facilitates the purchase of vehicle service contracts (“VSCs,” sometimes called extended warranties) for drivers who purchased their vehicle online or through a private, peer-to-peer sale. We are not an insurance company and do not issue or administer the contract itself.

VSCs presented through the Site are insured by Old Republic Insurance Company and administered by Ascent Administration Services, LLC. The actual coverage, terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions are set out in the vehicle service contract you receive — that document controls in the event of any conflict with the Site.

Any price, monthly payment, term, or coverage summary shown on the Site is an illustrative estimate for your convenience. It is not an offer, a binding quote, or a guarantee of eligibility or price. Your final price and terms are determined when your contract is issued and may differ based on your vehicle, mileage, location, and other factors.

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use the Site. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it accurate.

The Site lets you upload photos or files of documents such as a bill of sale, title, registration, or odometer. You authorize us and our service providers to process those images using optical character recognition and similar automated tools to extract details (for example VIN, year, make, mileage, sale price, and your contact information) in order to prepare your quote and pre-fill your application.

You represent that you have the right to share any document you upload and that you are not uploading another person’s information without their authorization. Automated extraction can contain errors — please review any pre-filled details before you submit them.

When you choose to continue to a quote or application, you may be directed to a partner portal operated by Elevate (and/or the administrator and insurer named above), and the details you entered or scanned may be passed along to start that process. Your use of those third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to disrupt it, accessing it through automated means without permission, uploading malicious code, or using it for any unlawful purpose or to submit information that is not yours to submit.

The Site and its content, design, logos, and trademarks (including DriveOne™) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission.

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates shown will match your final contract.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DriveOneDirect and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and the “Effective date” above will be updated. Your continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where a different law is required to apply.
